Cristian Zaccardo warned Carpi can upset the Coppa Italia odds again with Milan in tonight’s quarter-final.
It kicks off at San Siro at 20.00 GMT and is a one-off game with the winners facing Spezia or Alessandria in the semis.
“On paper Milan are the favourites, but you never can tell,” Zaccardo told Milan Channel.
Carpi already knocked Fiorentina out in the last round with a 1-0 result at the Stadio Franchi.

“The Rossoneri are not going through a great period of form and we hope they’ll make some mistakes. We have to stay alert and not allow them too much, so with a bit of luck we could achieve something extraordinary.
“On paper whoever wins this has an excellent chance of reaching the Final.”
This is Carpi’s first ever competitive game at San Siro, but a familiar arena for Zaccardo.
“It is always a pleasure to come back to San Siro and see my former teammates. Now I am captain of Carpi and I will try to cause problems for my old team.”
