Following the announcement of Felipe Anderson, Lazio have decided to send Juventus target Mattia Zaccagni a new five-year contract offer, reports detail.
The Brazilian winger caused a stir on Monday evening when he confirmed his intentions to leave the Biancocelesti on a free transfer in the summer. Whilst this wasn’t a surprise, his destination was: Palmeiras, instead of the long-interested Juventus, who had apparently agreed verbal terms.
Lazio had still hoped to find an agreement with Felipe Anderson themselves, so now have to accept his departure ahead of the summer transfer window. In the meantime, Zaccagni has attracted the attention of Juventus following his agent’s public frustration regarding the lack of a new deal.
Zaccagni offer
As reported by Alfredo Pedulla, Lazio do not want to lose Zaccagni as well as Felipe Anderson in the summer, so have come forward with a new five-year offer for the Italian winger, worth around €3m net per season plus add-ons. He has agreed to the terms and is now expected to put pen to paper soon.
The news will come as a blow to Juventus director Cristiano Giuntoli, who already had to accept Felipe Anderson’s snub.
