Williams willing to run down contract

Swansea captain Ashley Williams is reportedly willing to let his contract expire, with Napoli thought to be interested in signing him.

The central defender has one year left on his current deal with the Premier League side, but, according to The Guardian, is bemused by the club’s rejection of several offers for his services.

As such, the paper reveals that the Wales international is happy to turn down the offer of an extension at the Liberty Stadium, and leave on a free next summer.
