Reports have already been circulating that Zaza will leave in January, prompting interest from the London club in Mandzukic. The Croatian scored a last minute goal against Sevilla in the Champions League on Tuesday evening, taking his tally to four in all competitions.

The English newspaper reports that the Bianconeri would require a fee in the region of £18m for the player, who has two and a half years remaining on his contract.

The West Ham boss has already worked with Mandzukic during his six-year tenure as Coach of the Croatian national team.
