Werder Bremen confirmed they are in “advanced talks” with Sampdoria for defender Niklas Moisander in a deal worth almost €2m.
The former Ajax defender joined a year ago as a free agent, so this will count as a profitable move.
“We are very interested in Moisander and talks are at an advanced stage,” Werder Bremen general manager Frank Baumann told German paper Bild.
Although Bild claim the transfer fee is €1.7m, pending a medical, Sportitalia put the price closer to €2m with bonuses.
