The transfer links with Wellington have been going for a couple of months, but it had seemed as if he was heading to Turkey instead.
“The player has turned down Galatasaray. Why? Because he only wants Inter,” agent Gustavo Aribas told FCINterNews.it.
“The Nerazzurri are definitely interested, but we still have to really work on the negotiations, as they are not at an advanced stage yet.
“Inter currently have a priority to sort out Mauricio Isla from Juventus, then they will focus on Wellington’s situation.”
It has been reported Sao Paulo could release him on loan with an option to buy for €8m.
“We haven’t talked about the technicalities yet, but the loan is one of the theories. It’s not up to me to set the price-tag.”
Although Juventus declared this week they were taking Isla off the market, it’s believed this was just a ploy to raise Inter’s offer for the former Udinese winger.
