Palermo’s Emiliano Viviano could realise a childhood dream this summer if rumours of a move to Fiorentina come true.

The Italian international’s future is in some doubt given that he is co-owned by Inter and the Rosanero – with the Nerazzurri in charge of his next move given the option they have on him.

According to the transfer rumour mill on Tuesday, Viola boss Delio Rossi is a fan of the goalkeeper.

The Tuscan club may lose Artur Boruc at the end of the campaign and Viviano could be targeted as his replacement.

Viviano began his career in Fiorentina’s youth system, but joined Brescia in 2002 after the Viola’s financial collapse.

He has since played for Cesena, Brescia and Bologna, but has always admitted a desire to play for the club he openly supports.

“I am a fan of Fiorentina,” the 26-year-old stated earlier this season. “I have always said this and I don’t deny that fact.”
