Fiorentina are believed to have agreed a deal to bring Alessandro Diamanti back to Serie A, freeing Josip Ilicic to move to Torino.
The Viola have been linked with the Guangzhou Evergrande forward for some time, and are believed to have stepped up their operation in recent days.
According to Sky, the Tuscan club have now reached an agreement with the Chinese side, with the former Bologna man moving to Artemio Franchi on loan before completing a permanent transfer for €3m in the summer.
The deal should be completed in the next 24 hours, once contracts and other legal formalities have been completed.
Sky believes that the move will then allow Josip Ilicic to move to Torino, with the Slovenian surplus to requirements should Diamanti arrive as expected.
