“At Inter I’d have to fight for a place and who knows how many games I’d play?” Vilhena pointed out in an interview with Algemeen Dagblad.

“At Inter I’d have to fight for a place and who knows how many games I’d play?” Vilhena pointed out in an interview with Algemeen Dagblad.
“There wasn’t a concrete plan for me. When you’re young you have to play, and the club needs to have a project for you. If not, you can’t do anything.”
Another factor was Vilhena’s mother, who had some health issues.
“We talked about it several times and I could see that she wasn’t convinced. She didn’t like the fact that I’d be going away, I could see the doubt.
“That made me think, because I love my Mum.
“So, three weeks before Feyenoord’s pre-season training started again, I told my Dad I’d be staying at Feyenoord.”
