El-Bilal Toure has landed in Italy ahead of his medical with Atalanta, which could clear the way for Rasmus Hojlund to join Manchester United this summer.
Toure arrived at Linate airport in Milan on Friday morning and will undergo medical checks with La Dea later on in the day.
It is believed that the 21-year-old rejected approaches from Everton in the Premier League to join Atalanta in a club-record deal thought to be worth €30m.
His replacement is thought by many to be in anticipation of Hojlund’s move to Manchester United, which according to several reports in recent days, is progressing smoothly.
United have reportedly submitted their first official bid for Hojlund, although Atalanta are still pushing for a fee of around €70m plus add-ons.
