Video: Red Star Belgrade fans burn stolen Roma banner after ambush

The Ultras wars continue to escalate, as after they attacked Roma fans and stole their banner, now Red Star Belgrade fans have set fire to it in their own stadium.

The incident occurred after Roma’s Serie A match against Empoli on February 4, at the time it was reported the ambush outside the Stadio Olimpico was carried out by circa 50 masked Red Star Belgrade and Napoli ultras.

Roma are twinned with Dinamo Zagreb, while Napoli are twinned with Red Star Belgrade.

This too seemed to be mentioned in today’s latest chapter, because during the game against Cukaricki, the Red Star Belgrade fans showed a banner reading ‘You chose the wrong friends’, then held up the Roma banner that was stolen upside down – a sign of disrespect – and set fire to it in the stands.
