Video: Lazio confirm Kamada arrival

Lazio have confirmed that Japan international Daichi Kamada has arrived in Italy ahead of his move on a free transfer from Eintracht Frankfurt.

The 26-year-old was filmed by the club arriving at the airport in Fiumicino before being presented with a Lazio scarf, stopping for pictures with supporters along the way.

Then, on Thursday evening, Lazio’s social media channels posted a video message from Kamada, who told the supporters: “Forza Lazio.”

Kamada is expected to undergo his medical with the Biancocelesti on Friday before an official announcement arrives.

A statement on the club’s website read: “We would like to extend a warm welcome to Japanese international Daichi Kamada, who arrived in Fiumicino around 17:30 on a flight from Frankfurt.

“The midfielder, recently released from Eintracht, with whom he won the Europa League 21-22 (as well as a German cup 17-18), has decided to spend a few hours in the capital.

“We wish you a pleasant stay, especially given that he will also be in Rome on his birthday (August 5) when he turns 27.”
