Verona sporting director Sean Sogliano has conceded that Juan Iturbe is likely to leave the club if the right offer arrives.
The Gialloblu have signed the trequartista outright from Porto after his loan spell at the club last season.
But with several Champions League-level sides thought to be interested, including Roma and Liverpool, the board member has admitted that keeping the Argentine youngster will be tricky.
“Iturbe is a great player and Verona have done really well to get him,” he told Corriere dello Sport.
“He knows us and he trusts us. But we also know that a lot of top level clubs are interested in signing him.
“If offers come in then we’ll have to listen to them. We don’t want to sell him, but we have to be honest with ourselves.
“If a big offer arrives then the likelihood is that Iturbe will leave. But of course, we’d love him to stay.”
