The 23-year-old contributed just one goal in 22 appearances last season, between Serie A and the Coppa Italia, largely off the bench.
As for Stepinski, the former Chievo centre-forward is 25 years old and has four senior caps to his name for Poland.
He found the net three times in 21 Serie A games for Verona last term.
