According to multiple reports in Italy, Valencia have opened talks with Milan to sign their winger Samu Castillejo.
The Spaniard is not in Stefano Pioli’s plans and has been linked with leaving the Rossoneri for a long time. His contract at San Siro expires in June 2023.
According to Sky Sport Italia and Calciomercato.com, Valencia have now jumped to the front of the queue to sign the 27-year-old who has only collected five appearances across all competitions this season.
La Liga side Getafe had previously made their move to sign Castillejo.
According to the report, the Spanish winger could move to the Estadio Mestalla on loan with an option to buy.
Talks between the two clubs are ongoing and the Rossoneri hope to finalise the deal in the coming hours.
Castillejo joined Milan in a €21m deal from Villareal in 2018. He has scored ten goals and delivered 15 assists in 113 appearances with the Serie A giants during his three and a half years at the club.
