Sky Sport Italia insists that Nico Gonzalez is unhappy at Fiorentina and is pushing to join Juventus this summer.
Fiorentina winger Nico Gonzalez wants to join Juventus and is pushing for a transfer to the Allianz Stadium.
Several Italian sources reported on Tuesday morning that Fiorentina President Rocco Commisso had blocked his transfer to Turin regardless of the potential purchase of Albert Gudmundsson from Genoa.
Sky, however, claims that Nico’s move to Juventus is currently on hold because Fiorentina are waiting to sign Gudmundsson from Genoa.
Sky: Unhappy Nico Gonzalez pushing to join Juventus
According to the Italian broadcasters, Fiorentina had promised that they’d sell Nico this summer after rejecting previous offers from Leicester City and Brentford.
Sky adds that Nico has already reached an agreement with both Juventus and Atalanta, but the Bianconeri are in the front row to sign the Argentinean forward.
Nico, 26, scored 16 goals in 44 appearances across all competitions with Fiorentina in 2023-24, and his contract at the Stadio Franchi runs out in June 2028.
