Udinese to take Mineiro to court

It is reported that Udinese will take Atletico Mineiro to court for their failure to pay transfer fees on time.

The Brazilian club signed Maicousel from the Bianconeri in 2014, then Douglas from the same club in 2015, but have still not fulfilled their obligation to pay the transfer fees in full.

According to CalcioNews24, Atletico have only paid €650,000 of the €3.45m they agreed for Maicousel, while they also still owe Udinese €1.15m of the €2.85m they promised for Douglas.

Udinese reported Mineiro to FIFA in July, who subsequently gave the Brazilian club one more month to complete the payments in full.

However, this has not been done and it appears the matter will be settled in court.
