Udinese have released a video clip prepared by coach Fabio Cannavaro that he showed to his players before their final game of the season against Frosinone, which ended in a 1-0 victory for the Friulani, which, in turn, helped them avoid relegation to Serie B.
The video begins with a shot of the team bus being mobbed by supporters on its way to the stadium.
The rest of the clip largely features highlights from the club’s 2023-24 season, with a motivational track being played underneath.
Whatever was said in the dressing room ahead of kick-off clearly had some sort of effect, as the team escaped relegation in the final game of the season. They had been trailing Frosinone on points heading into the final day, and required a victory to leapfrog them out of the relegation zone.
Cannavaro joined the club on a short-term deal until the end of the season back in April, having been called in as a replacement for Gabriele Cioffi.
