UCL: Napoli player ratings in 3-2 defeat against Real Madrid

Check out Napoli player ratings in their 3-2 loss against Real Madrid in the Champions League.

Meret 6 – Good save on Vini Jr. His own goal on a Federico Valverde shot has to be one of the unluckiest ever.

Di Lorenzo 5 – Napoli deflated after he gave away the ball for Vini Jr.’s equaliser, but he proved he’s human too. The Napoli captain has played every game since the start of the campaign, including two with Italy national team.

Ostigard 6 – Gave Napoli the lead by scoring with a towering header, but was probably a bit soft in defence.

Natan 5.5 – Contributed to Ostigard’s goal, but was shaky at the back.

Olivera 6 – The Uruguay international was attacking-minded, especially in the first half. Argued with Antonio Rudiger a couple of times at the end of the game. (88’ Mario Rui N/A)

Anguissa 5.5 – Eighth consecutive game as a starter, no surprise he looked exhausted. (88’ Simeone N/A)

Lobotka 5.5 – Jude Bellingham (MOTM) was a tough opponent, Stanis had highs and lows, but anyone would struggle against the English star right now.

Zielinski 6.5 – Disappeared after Vini’s goal, but showed up from the spot, scoring the equaliser in the second half. (75’ Raspadori 6)

Politano 6.5 – Probably the best Napoli player in the first half. Helped defensively, but was also a threat in attack. He left everything on the pitch. (69’ Elmas 6).

Osimhen 7 – Could have scored the equaliser with a header before the break, earned a penalty kick and kept Madrid defenders busy.

Kvaratskhelia 6 – Showed glimpses of quality. He always looked dangerous in one vs. one situations but at the end of the day, he didn’t leave his mark.

Coach: Garcia 6 – Napoli did all they could to win the game, but Madrid’s first two goals shocked the Partenopei.
