Two Italian officials included for Paris 2024 Olympics

Two Italian match officials will take part in the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris this summer, namely Paolo Valeri and Francesca Di Monte.

Valeri, 45 years of age will be part of the VAR team, while 40-year-old Di Monte will assume her regular role as an assistant referee on the sidelines.

The men’s and women’s football tournaments will take place between July 24 and August 10 this summer and will be hosted in seven different French cities: Bordeaux, Nantes, Lyon, Saint-Ettiene, Nice, Marseille and the main stage at the Parc des Princes in Paris.

For the men’s tournament, every squad must be made up of players aged 23 at the time of the Games, but are allowed to include three ‘senior’ players over the age limit. The women’s squads have no restrictions on age.
