Today Modena released a statement confirming Trezeguet is “grateful” for the offer and tied to a long friendship with club President Antonio Caliendo – his former agent.

“The ex-Juventus striker assured his current fitness levels are excellent thanks to consistent daily training after the end of the season in India.
“Trezeguet informed President Caliendo that, as he still needs to resolve some personal issues, he will only be able to plan his football future after the current transfer window.”
