Toure: ‘Bonucci comments unbelievable’

Yaya Toure hit out at “unbelievable” Leonardo Bonucci comments giving Moise Kean 50-50 blame for racist abuse by Cagliari fans.

“It’s for me just the worst scenario you can have in football, your teammate attacking you and saying something like that,” the former Manchester City and Barcelona midfielder told La Gazzetta dello Sport and BBC Sport.

“I think it’s unbelievable. You can imagine how hurt I was when I saw those things happening.

“I don’t want to get into what he was saying, because for me it was totally disrespectful regarding his teammate. You can’t say that by tweeting.

“I don’t want to say something worse or be harsh with him, but if he was my teammate, he would feel me. I think he should apologise first of all to his teammate, then to the team overall.

“Bonucci has got to be smarter than that. We want to see things moving and if a proper football who is Italian, who is white, is talking about 50-50, if he was my teammate…for sure he would feel me. I don’t want to go further than that.”
