Lucas Torreira believes Fiorentina can qualify for Europe and admits he has ‘rediscovered joy on and off the pitch’ after his Arsenal nightmare.
The Uruguay international scored the only goal against 10-man Bologna this afternoon, keeping the Viola in the race for a top six finish.

“We have a great squad, a lovely atmosphere, these are great lads with a fantastic heart. We work every day to make the fans happy,” Torreira told Sky Sport Italia.
“Perhaps this was our least impressive performance in recent weeks, but we got the win, unlike other results. We are a great side and the objective is to take Fiorentina into Europe.”
Torreira is only on loan from Arsenal, but the Viola are in negotiations to make it permanent and the player himself has no doubts over what he wants in future.
“I have rediscovered my joy both on and off the pitch. My future doesn’t depend on me, because Arsenal still own my contract. I am sure they will reach an agreement.”
