Walter Mazzarri warned Torino had to up their game against Wolverhampton Wanderers after they laboured to a 1-1 draw with Shakhtyor Soligorsk.
Toro took a 5-0 lead into the second leg of their Europa League third-round qualifier and ended up drawing 1-1 at Shakhtyor as Simone Zaza’s goal was cancelled out by an injury-time Nikolai Yanush penalty.
Although they still eased through, Mazzarri accused his side of underestimating their Belarussian opponents.
“We wanted to have a better match than we did,” the Coach said after the match.

“We wanted to have a better match than we did,” the Coach said after the match.
“We realised that our opponents were actually much stronger than the result had led us to believe.
“I’d made it clear to my players that they should’ve believed it and attacked much more than we did in the first leg.
“Having said that, everyone who’s played football knows that when you have such a big advantage like we had, it’s never easy to come back with the right adrenaline, the one with which we always play.
“We’ll have to give our best, regardless of who our opponents are. Given we’ll play the first leg at home, it’ll be important not to concede a goal.
“Certainly we’ll have to do better defensively than we did today.”
The Granata will face Wolves in the playoffs after the Premier League outfit thrashed Pyunik 8-0 on aggregate.
