Bianchi was thought to be surplus to requirements at Toro, given his salary, after they again failed to win promotion to the top flight.

Ogbonna, meanwhile, is one of the few promising young defenders in Italy who has been attracting the interest of Europe's top clubs.

"For the time being I am keeping a hold of them," Cairo noted. "They are super important players for a team with Torino's ambitions.

"We'll see how the situation evolves, but the more time passes by, the tighter my grip on them becomes."

Bianchi has been associated with a variety of Serie A sides, while Torino recently claimed that they rejected a €12m bid from an unnamed English club for Ogbonna.
