The attacking winger impressed last season for the Granata and has otherwise been linked with following teammate Ciro Immobile out of the door this summer.

Roma have been linked with a bid for their former youngster, but are seen as having come up against President Urbano Cairo’s particular valuation of €20m.

It is a situation that reportedly has no official offers on the table for the 26-year-old and Torino now planning out keeping hold of him.

Specifically, Tuttosport believe that the club are ready to extend Cerci’s current contract beyond its June 2016 expiry.

It is understood that talks have already started and may be progressing at such a rate that an official announcement could come shortly.

The move is, however, believed not a confirmation of Cerci’s long-term future in Turin, but more a strengthening of their position with the player in the market.
