Tomori on verge of Milan contract renewal

The agents of Fikayo Tomori will meet with Milan today to reportedly try and finalise a contract renewal.

The 24-year-old English defender proved himself to be one of the best defenders in Italy last season after shining with Scudetto winners Milan, impressing across his 31 Serie A appearances. Tomori has taken a step up following his move to the Rossoneri in January 2021 and the club want to lock down their star centre back.

As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, Tomori’s agents will meet with Milan’s management today to try and close out a contract renewal. If the meeting goes well, the Englishman will put pen to paper on a new contract lasting until 2027, extending his stay in Lombardy by a further two years.

Negotiations for the 24-year-old’s renewal began back in May and it quickly became apparent that both parties wanted to move forward together.

Tomori signed for Milan in a deal worth around €28.5m in July 2021 after an incredibly impressive six months on loan from Chelsea.
