Milan defender Fikayo Tomori is excited ahead of the new season and reveals Mike Maignan already speaks Italian.

The Rossoneri lost 5-3 against Valencia on penalties last night.

“We didn’t manage to win on penalties, but the pre-season goal is to get fit, it was nice to see fans back in the stadium,” Tomori told Milan TV after the game.

“We are feeling good, no injuries, so good, and now we wait for Real Madrid on Saturday. Another tough game and a good opportunity to get some match fitness,” the former Chelsea man continued.

“I’m ready for the season, I’m excited about it, I am feeling really happy, everyone is really happy, so I hope we can continue.

“The new signings are all integrating well. There are many French players, so everyone can kind of speak to each other. They are also trying their Italian, like Mike [Maignan] today in the changing room.

“As the goalkeeper, he was saying where they should stay in the set pieces in Italian. Stuff like that is obviously good for the team,” Tomori concluded.
