Lilian Thuram “never had any doubts” his Juventus teammate Antonio Conte would become a great Coach.
The French retired defender spoke to Sky Sport Italia about his former club, who are looking for a third straight Scudetto.
“I never had any doubts on Conte’s capabilities as a Coach. When he was a player he didn’t talk much, but when he did all his teammates would stop to listen.
“You could tell straight away he was a gritty, determined kind of a guy.”
Thuram is impressed with the squad at Conte’s disposal in Turin, particularly summer signing Carlos Tevez.
“Tevez is a great player. With him Juventus can go very far.”
Thuram played for Juventus from 2001 to 2006, while Conte arrived in 1991 and retired in 2004.
