“We want to be in Europe and can reach the Champions League,” said Thohir on Inter Channel ahead of today’s game with Torino.
“If we look at the players we have, they are here for the long-term. Some youngsters, others like Medel and Vidic are more experienced.
“We want to be sure that all of them are fighting for the club: it’s not a personal issue, we just want a strong team.
“What is Mancini’s greatest strength? I say the stability. He is ambitious and knows what he wants to do, communicating well with the directors. He helps the fans enjoy the situations and is good with the media as well as our players.
“We want to give our fans the best and they must have faith in us: we do everything for their benefit. It’s great to see the welcome for the new arrivals, as they are part of the project we believe in.”
La Gazzetta dello Sport claimed Inter are preparing a July offer for Manchester City midfielder Yaya Touré, who would even be prepared to halve his wages.
“He is a great player, but we have to ask ourselves if he is right for our team. We want to sign players for at least three years, not two,” Thohir added on Mediaset Premium.
