There are reports that Paulo Dybala has a release clause of just €12m for teams outside Serie A, but Sky Sport Italia revealed last summer that the fee is €20m and is valid for every club.
Dybala joined the Giallorossi as a free agent last summer, signing a three-year deal at the Stadio Olimpico.
He’s had a remarkable impact under José Mourinho, scoring 10 goals and delivering seven assists in 20 appearances across all competitions.
According to Diario Sport in Spain, La Joya has a €12m clause in his contract, valid only for clubs outside Serie A. With this in mind, Manchester United would be ready to pounce on the Argentinean World Cup winner.
However, Sky Sport Italia detailed last summer that the Argentinean’s release clause is €20m and is the same for every club, whether it’s from Serie A or abroad.
Gianluca Di Marzio said in July that Dybala would earn part of the fee if an Italian or foreign club paid his release clause at the end of the season.
At the same time, the Giallorossi can block his exit, even if a club pay the sum, by activating clauses to raise his salary or extend his contract, which currently expires in June 2025.
However, the Giallorossi seem willing to sit down with Dybala’s entourage soon to rediscuss the terms of the agreement they reached last summer, hoping to cancel or at least modify the release clause included in their deal.
