Milan defender Filippo Terracciano says the Rossoneri are trying to help Rafael Leao in a ‘difficult moment’ and insists they don’t fear Real Madrid.

Terracciano started his third consecutive league game for Milan on Saturday when the Diavoli beat Monza 1-0 at the U-Power Stadium.

The ex-Verona defender had previously replaced the suspended Theo Hernandez, but once the France international returned to the starting XI against Monza, Fonseca moved Terracciano to the right-back position.

“I’ve always been available; I don’t think about this; I want to give my all on the pitch, regardless of the role,” Terracciano told SportMediaset.

Milan’s next competitive match is against Carlo Ancelotti’s Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu in the Champions League Round 4.

“We set no limits for ourselves; we are Milan and fear nobody,” said Terracciano.

Rafael Leao has started the last three league games on the bench, but the Rossoneri coach Paulo Fonseca was happy with his compatriot’s response against Monza.

Terracciano admitted that Leao is having a tough time at San Siro but insisted that he and his teammates are trying to help him.

“The rest of the team and I love Rafa. It’s a difficult moment for him, so we help him and have nothing against him,” the defender said.

“I know Leao’s potential, and I am sure he’ll help the team.”

Terracciano joined Milan from Hellas Verona in the 2024 January transfer window. The 21-year-old has collected nine appearances across all competitions with the Serie A giants.
