Andrea Stramaccioni felt Udinese “deserved the three points” from their goalless draw with Juventus.
The Friulani tested Gigi Buffon several times, while the visitors hit the woodwork with Roberto Pereyra.
“We took the best possible approach to this game and played with courage,” Strama told Rai Sport.
“I used three strikers to cause problems for Juve and we managed it. Against them you can focus only on defending, but sooner or later you will concede a goal like that.
“Buffon was decisive on two occasions, but I want to underline the excellent performances of Allan – who I feel is one of the best midfielders in Europe behind Pogba – and Piris, who marked Tevez.
“A point really doesn’t reflect what happened in the match and I feel we deserved three points today.”
Stramaccioni then told an anecdote about how focused he was on preparing for this match.
“Before the game my mother told me to make sure I was covered up well. I thought she meant take a defensive tactical approach, but she was just talking about a nice warm coat.”
