“On paper we know the value of the two teams,” said Stellone in a Press conference.

“Roma are among the favourites to win the Scudetto. Frosinone are in our first ever Serie A season and have no points after two rounds.

“Tomorrow we have the opportunity to beat the odds, because in football the strongest on paper does not always win.

“The Giallorossi have many champions and a great Coach, while at Frosinone most of the players and indeed their Coach are just emerging on to the main stage.

“We will give Roma a battle. We can’t fight them in terms of quality, so we’ll do it with intensity and the spirit of sacrifice. I told my men not to panic if Roma start taking control, as possession is their best quality, so we’ve got to focus on making every chance count.

“I haven’t even told my players what line-up or system we’ll use. During the week we tested out 4-4-2 and 4-3-3, so there’s no reason we can’t mutate between them during the game.

“I do need to evaluate the condition of Max Carlini and Mirko Gori tomorrow, as they’ve been struggling with flu symptoms the last couple of days."

This is a local derby, as Frosinone hail from the Lazio region, but until now had never been in the top flight.

“Just two years ago we were playing in the smallest stadiums and now we are preparing to host Roma. The lads are not afraid and we can’t wait to give our fans some points to celebrate.”
