Stankovic surgery decision delayed

Italian giants Inter won’t make a decision on whether Dejan Stankovic needs surgery until the end of next week.

Reports in Serbia on Monday suggested that the midfielder would go under the knife in order to resolve an Achilles’ tendon issue.

However, the Gazzetta dello Sport is today suggesting that the club will firstly see the results of intense physiotherapy on the area.

The former Red Star and Lazio midfielder will spend the next 10 days receiving treatment before the injury is re-assessed.

If the physiotherapy doesn’t deliver the results required then the attacking midfielder could be forced to have an operation.
