Often criticised by the fans in Rome, Baldini is in his second stint at the club after the 1999-2005 spell.

On Friday director Walter Sabatini officially extended his contract with the Giallorossi, but it’s rumoured Baldini is considering a future elsewhere.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Tottenham have made an intriguing proposal for Baldini to work at White Hart Lane next season.

He already has a good rapport with chairman Daniel Levy and is familiar to English football as part of ex-England manager Fabio Capello’s backroom staff.
