Spalletti: ‘Expecting a lot from Roma’

Luciano Spalletti is “expecting a lot” from his Roma players when they face Real Madrid tomorrow.

The Giallorossi trail 2-0 after the first leg, but the Coach – whose birthday is today – is hoping for a present from his squad.

“On your birthday you usually receive gifts, I’ve got an idea of what to ask for…” Spalletti told Mediaset.

“I usually ask for the impossible from players, I think I saw on their faces that they're waiting for it.

“When talking about great teams it doesn’t come down to one or two elements, some absences complicate things, but if everyone sacrifices and does their part we can do it.

“I’m expecting a lot. They’ll play a more cautious game than in the first leg, and we’ll have to force the situation. With a player like [Edin] Dzeko it’ll be easier.”
