Slovan: ‘Not easy for Napoli’

Slovan Bratislava Coach Jozef Chovanec insists Napoli won’t get an easy ride. “We do not want to finish on zero points.”

It kicks off at the Stadio San Paolo on Thursday at 20.05 GMT and Slovan are the whipping boys of the group.

“We are motivated and want to win. We do not want to finish the competition on zero points,” said Chovanec in his Press conference.

“The last game in the Europa League will also be our last of the year before the Winter break. The players want to do well and have faith in themselves. They feel the responsibility of facing a side like Napoli and we’ll try not to make the same mistakes.”

Their confidence also received a boost by Napoli’s 2-2 draw here with Empoli at the weekend, where they had been trailing 2-0.

“Nobody expected the Tuscans to have such a good game. It was a strange match, as after 26 minutes the result already looked decided and Empoli had no fear of Napoli. We must play the same way.”
