Sky: PSG and Italy offer role to Milan legend Maldini

Sky Sport Italia claims PSG and Italy have offered a role to Milan legend Paolo Maldini who left the Rossoneri at the end of last season.

The former defender is waiting to start a new chapter of his career after parting ways with the Serie A giants at the end of 2022-23. Club owner Gerry Cardinale practically sacked him following the final game of last season against Hellas Verona.

Sky Sport Italia is now claiming that both PSG and Italy’s FA – FIGC – have already offered a role to Maldini.

The Ligue 1 giants have recently hired a new coach – ex-Roma boss Luis Enrique – and are reportedly planning to hire Maldini as a club director.

It is still unsure what FIGC would offer the 55-year-old, but according to the report, the Italian Federation have also made an offer.

Maldini is currently on holiday and hasn’t made a decision regarding his future yet.

The ex-defender and his right-hand man Frederic Massara significantly contributed to Milan’s first Serie A title in over a decade in 2021-22 by signing several players during their time at the club, including Theo Hernandez, Rafael Leao, Mike Maignan and Fikayo Tomori.
