The Sicilian outfit have admitted that they will sell the Argentine this summer and a number of Italian and foreign sides are keen.

While it is understood that Lazio have had a €4m bid rejected, Inter and Juve are now considering offers.

Inter need a new centre-back after Marco Materazzi quit the club, especially if new boss Gian Piero Gasperini plays with a 3-4-3.

Juventus, meanwhile, seemingly have concerns after €15m signing Leonardo Bonucci didn't totally convince last term.

Catania, who want over €7m for the 26-year-old, value the player very highly in terms of his ability.

"Silvestre was the best defender in Serie A behind Thiago Silva of Milan last season," Catania director Pietro Lo Monaco noted.

"We are discussing him with a number of different clubs, but one in particular. If I were interested in him then I wouldn't let him escape."
