Serie A Sporting Judge: Inter and Verona fined, three players suspended

The Serie A sporting judge has fined Hellas Verona, Inter and Lecce and confirmed a one-match ban for Luis Maximiliano, Gonzalo Escalante and Adama Soumaoro.

Hellas Verona have been fined €15,000 for their fans’ discriminatory chants against Napoli during their Serie A meeting at the Stadio Bentegodi on Monday.

The fine includes a €3,000 penalty for the objects thrown on the pitch during the match. Inter and Lecce have faced the same punishment for the same reason.

Luis Maximiliano (Lazio), Escalante (Cremonese) and Soumaoro (Bologna) were the only three players who saw red in the Serie A opener and were all banned for one game.
