Napoli will have to make do without Victor Osimhen for the visit of Salernitana in Serie A on Saturday afternoon, as the Partenopei top scorer is away with Nigeria for the Africa Cup of Nations.
Osimhen is expected to be replaced by Giovanni Simeone, who is set to be flanked by regular wingers Matteo Politano and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. There will also be an opportunity for Pierluigi Gollini in goal, as Alex Meret is set to miss out through injury.
Napoli’s opponents Salernitana are expected to remain largely unchanged. Giulio Maggiore will sit this one out having been sent off against Juventus last weekend, while Guilermo Ochoa could return to replace Benoit Costil in goal.
Genoa host Torino at the same time as Napoli-Salernitana. Alberto Gilardino will have to cope with the loss of Radu Dragusin to Tottenham, but it could be too soon for a first start in Rossoblu for new signing Djed Spence.
Ivan Juric is tipped to name the exact same Torino side that beat Napoli 3-0 last Sunday.
Verona also welcome Empoli to the Bentegodi Stadium in a battle at the bottom of the table, kicking off later in the day at 17.00 GMT.
