Serie A: Monza-Inter – team news and probable line-ups

Romelu Lukaku and Edin Dzeko are expected to start in Inter‘s attack against Gianluca Caprari’s Monza.

It kicks off at 19.45 GMT on Saturday, January 7, 2023.

Nicolò Rovella, Stefano Sensi and Giulio Donati are out of action for the hosts, but the rest of the team is available.

Monza won the last two home games and never won three in a row at home in Serie A. Considering Serie B, they haven’t won three consecutive home games since April.

Gianluca Caprari, a former Inter striker, scored his first brace against Inter in 2020, but those are his only two goals against the Nerazzurri.

Marcelo Brozovic is still out of action for Inter. Lautaro Martinez is available, but Dzeko and Lukaku are likely to start again in attack.

The Belgian forward was involved in nine goals in seven games against newly promoted teams in Serie A.

Stefan de Vrij should get the nod in a three-man defence with Francesco Acerbi on the bench. Denzel Dumfries is expected to return to the starting XI in place of Matteo Darmian.
