The ‘flop 10’ nominees for the 2022 Bidone d’Oro Award have been announced, including Arthur Melo of Juventus, Atalanta winger Jeremie Boga and reigning champion Aaron Ramsey.
The award has been handed out for over a decade now to the biggest flop of the season in Serie A.
A jury of experts whittled down the list to 10 nominees for the Bidone d’Oro – Golden Bin – including a return for the 2021 winner Ramsey, who has since left Juventus for OGC Nice.
The Bianconeri have another nominee in Arthur Melo, who has joined Liverpool on loan and managed only one brief substitute appearance for that club too.
Boga was a big investment, costing Atalanta €22m plus bonuses, but has been dreadful in Bergamo and dropped to the bench.
There are bound to be some votes for Ionut Radu, the Inter goalkeeper whose howler proved so costly in the Scudetto race with defeat to Bologna.
