Serie A, Atalanta-Lazio: probable line-ups

Atalanta are eager to continue their unbeaten run in today’s home game against Lazio, who must cope without their injured star Ciro Immobile.

It kicks off at 17.00 UK time.

Rafael Toloi, Davide Zappacosta and José Luis Palomino are not available for La Dea. Giorgio Scalvini is favourite over Merih Demiral in defence.

Juan Musso is back and so is Duvan Zapata but the Colombia international should start on the bench with Luis Muriel and Ademola Lookman up front. The ex-Leicester City striker scored in each of the last three Serie A games.

Atalanta are unbeaten in nine of the last 10 games against Lazio in Serie A.

Felipe Anderson should act as a false nine to replace Ciro Immobile for Lazio. The Biancocelesti won 54.6% of games with the Italy striker on the pitch since 2016, which drops to 27.3% when Immobile was not involved.

Patric is favourite over Nicolò Casale in central defence and Luis Alberto is expected to start on the bench again with Matias Vecino and Danilo Cataldi in the middle of the park.

Lazio can also rely on Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, who has already contributed to 10 Serie A goals so far and has found the net five times in his career against La Dea.

Lazio have scored 22 goals in 12 games against Atalanta during the Gian Piero Gasperini era, more than any other team in Italy.

The Biancocelesti kept a clean sheet in each of the last five Serie A matches, nearing their record of seven consecutive Serie A matches without conceding: they achieved that in 1998, under Sven-Goran Eriksson.
