Former Cesena and Cagliari Coach Massimo Ficcadenti is being linked with the Senegal national football team position.
The African team sacked Amara Traore almost 10 days ago after a disastrous Africa Cup of Nations campaign saw them eliminated at the group stage, having lost all three games played.
Ficcadenti yesterday claimed he had not had any contact with the Senegalese FA over the position, but he also refused to rule out the possibility and reports in Italy are now gathering pace.

“When a team is interested in you, it can not but please you,” he told Tuttomercatoweb.com this week.
The Coach is in fact still under contract with Cagliari until 2013 and cannot negotiate with another club until a settlement is reached with the Sardinians.

“Possibly there is something there [with Senegal], but I have not yet had direct contact.
“If there is an offer then it should always be evaluated, especially if there are programs and interesting situations. Then, Senegal has an attacking front-line that isn’t bad…”
