Borussia Monchengladbach Coach Andre Schubert insists he’s no magician – “the wizards are on the pitch.”
Since taking over as interim Coach of the German side, the Gladbach boss has led his side to six consecutive Bundesliga wins, and a Champions League draw with Juventus in Turin.
Schubert will renew acquaintances with the Old Lady tomorrow night, but the tactician laughed off suggestions in the pre-match Press conference that he’s the Harry Potter of German football.

“I have a scar on my cheek,” Schubert laughed, in reference to the character’s lightning bolt scar.
“It's from when I was three, it doesn’t say anything though, that I’m a magician or something. Magic exists in football, but this is our work, and it’s about concentration.
“The wizards are on the pitch, Ibrahima [Traore] is one of them, but his teammates can give us moments of magic too.
“We’ve watched Juve, we’ve studied them and prepared. We have a collective idea of how to play against their formation.
“Magic is fine, we’ll see if it’s the same on the pitch.”
