Sassuolo slam door on Berardi and Juventus

Sassuolo are reportedly refusing to sell Domenico Berardi just hours before the Serie A season kicks off, as they feel Juventus have been underhand in their approach.

The captain announced from the stage during a pre-season event with fans present that he was not sure whether he would be part of their squad this term.

It was followed by multiple reports he had agreed personal terms with Juventus and was eager to make the switch to Turin.

Berardi is not training with the full squad, seemingly a decision he has made to force the transfer.

According to Sky Sport Italia and La Gazzetta dello Sport, it is causing a great deal of tension, as Juve have not made a formal offer yet to Sassuolo.

The Bianconeri are ready to take him on a two-year loan with obligation to buy for €20m, which is considered a good €10m off the asking price.

Juve are also trying to include Matias Soule or Samuel Iling Junior in the deal, again to no avail.
