CEO Carnevali, who still must sort out the contract situations of several members of staff, including the sporting director Giovanni Rossi and coach Roberto De Zerbi, has reassured fans that the Neroverdi are planning with Boga in the squad.
“Boga has grown a lot and we must give credit to our coach De Zerbi,” Carnevali told La Gazzetta dello Sport. “We intend to keep him.
“We don’t want to give him up because we will continue the project that Dr. [Giorgio] Squinzi had in mind.
“I believe Boga will wear the Sassuolo shirt again next year.”
