Sassuolo and Chelsea to meet for Boga

Sassuolo and Chelsea are believed to be holding talks over the future of Jeremie Boga, with the English side looking to bring the 23-year-old back to the Premier League.

Boga joined the Chelsea academy in 2009, but struggled to get playing time, and later signed with the Neroverdi in 2018 for €3m.

The Daily Express claims that Chelsea have first refusal on the forward, and have entered talks with the Italian side over a summer transfer to bring Boga back to England.

It’s believed that The Blues could offer Sassuolo €15m for the 23-year-old.

Neroverdi CEO Giovanni Carnevali seemingly confirmed that a meeting was due to be held between the clubs.

“Chelsea can redeem Boga in June. We have a great relationship with the club and we met them before Christmas – also for other business,” said Carnevali.

"They can take him back but we can also re-sign him, everything is open.”

Boga has made 22 appearances for Sassuolo this season, scoring seven times and providing four assists.
